Deposit tokenized equities and borrow USDG at a fixed 5% — without selling. When the market closes, liquidations pause. Nobody gets liquidated on a stale price.

THE WEEKEND PROBLEM

Stocks close.
Chains don't.

Equities trade 24/5, but blockchains run 24/7. On every other lending protocol, a price that gaps down over a closed weekend can liquidate you before Monday's open — on a price that no longer exists.

Umbrella's circuit breaker watches the price feed's freshness. The moment the market closes and pricing goes stale, borrows and liquidations pause. Repaying and adding collateral always work. When markets reopen, so does everything else.

How it works

01

Get stock tokens

Buy canonical Robinhood stock tokens with ETH right here on the Buy page, or withdraw them from the Robinhood app to your own wallet.

02

Deposit & borrow

Deposit them as collateral on the Borrow page and draw USDG up to 40% of their value. Fixed 5% APR, repay any time — even weekends.

03

Stay sheltered

Your buffer is a full 34% price drop before liquidation is even possible — and it can never happen on a stale, market-closed price.

Questions

What do I need to start?+

A wallet (MetaMask or any injected wallet), a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas, and a canonical Robinhood stock token to use as collateral — which you can buy with ETH on the Buy page. Connect, deposit, borrow.

Where do stock tokens come from?+

Robinhood issues tokenized stocks natively on Robinhood Chain. Eligible Robinhood app users can withdraw them to their own wallet, or you can swap ETH for them on the Buy page (routed through Uniswap v4 on-chain). Umbrella only recognizes the canonical tokens — imitators with the same ticker are rejected by address.

What happens on weekends?+

Stock price feeds update 24/5. When the feed goes stale past 26 hours (market closed), the vault pauses new borrows and all liquidations. You can always repay and add collateral. Fresh feed Monday, normal operation resumes.

What if my stock crashes?+

At 40% max LTV, your position only becomes liquidatable if the stock falls ~34% from your entry. If it does, a liquidator repays your full debt and takes collateral worth 110% of it — you keep the rest of your collateral and everything you borrowed. Debt cleared, no negative balance.

What are the fees?+

A fixed 5% APR on what you borrow, accruing linearly — that's it from Umbrella. Buying stock tokens routes through Uniswap v4, which charges the pool's swap fee. Gas on Robinhood Chain costs fractions of a cent.

How will lending liquidity grow?+

When the Umbrella token is released, it will be used to help fund the lending pool, expanding USDG liquidity so more users can borrow.

Is it audited?+

No. Umbrella is an experimental protocol — the contract is open-source, verified on Blockscout, and covered by a test suite including crash and weekend-gap scenarios, but it has not had a professional audit. Use only funds you can afford to lose.
